Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Aubameyang will be out of contract at the end of next season, which has led to speculation that Arsenal cannot avoid selling the striker soon.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are both thought to be interested in the Gabon star, authoring 17 goals in 26 games in the English Premier League.
With Arsenal out of the Europa League and 9th in the Premier League, Aubameyang is unlikely to be convinced to sign a new contract, but will allow the “Gunners” to charge a substantial transfer fee.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles
Maitland-Niles has had nearly 100 games for the first team since his debut in 2014 but has yet to become a regular option.
The 22-year-old was left out of the squad against West Ham last weekend with Sokratis being selected in place of Hector Bellerin as a right-back.
The Athletic said Arteta did not allow Maitland-Niles to play as a central midfielder as a hobby, instead of a right-back.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan
Mkhitaryan made 38 appearances in all competitions with Arsenal last season, scoring 6 goals, but was later on loan at Roma.
Although Arteta claims to always admire Mkhitaryan, Arsenal will be inevitable selling the midfielder because he has never proven himself in English football.
Matteo Guendouzi
Guendouzi is one of the more redundant players on Arteta’s request, despite appearing in 22 of the 28 Premier League games this season.
The young defensive midfielder was eliminated from the squad against Newcastle in February after quarreling with Arteta and coaching staff in a training camp in Dubai.
Sokratis Papratathopoulos
The former Dortmund defender is in his second season at Arsenal, but at 31, he will not be on the long-term plan.
Sokratis’ contract is due to expire next season and acknowledges that, if he does not participate in Arteta’s plan, he is willing to look elsewhere.
Mesut Ozil
Ozil is the club’s top-paid player and can be sold to free up transfer proceeds.
At the age of 31, the German midfielder’s contributions are very limited, so it is time for Arsenal to consider liquidation.
Ozil’s £ 350,000-a-week salary will be set aside for the new contracts that Arteta is targeting.
